How Did Our Story Begin — Now Spanning 5 Continents and Over 50 Countries?

Founded in 1996 as a 100% family-owned company in Turkey, we set out to bring children’s dreams to life within their rooms.
It was an exciting day — the day we set out from İnegöl to introduce a Turkish brand to the world and take our first steps toward becoming a global name.


cilek.com went live, marking the beginning of our digital journey.
1998
Our first store opened in Bursa.
We launched our Warranty System.
1999
Our first TV commercials were broadcast.*
Çilek Academy was established.
2000
We moved to our new factory.
In 2001, we opened our first store in Malta.

2002
We received our first Geprüfte Sicherheit (GS) Quality Certificate.
2003
We introduced a second shift in production.

We moved our General Management Office to Istanbul.

Our Family Constitution was written.
We were granted the Well-Known Trademark Status.

We will never forget the year we became the Furniture Export Champion, when our 2000ᵗʰ shipment reached Switzerland and our exports expanded to 66 countries around the world.

Cilek Foundation was established.

Research and Development (R&D) Center was officially approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology on November 27, 2015. The center was founded to systematically enhance all activities related to product, process, and software development under the coordination of our R&D department.

Established our Cilek USA Company in California.

Adopted the Lean Office philosophy.
Established the Çilek Design Hub and received the Design Turkey Good Design Award in the same year.

Since its foundation, Çilek Furniture has considered offering original designs as an indispensable value in its company culture. Çilek Design Hub is the first company in the industry to be officially certified as a Design Center by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
As the “core” and “center” of design, the Çilek Headquarters hosts a design hub made up of industrial designers, architects, and graphic artists. From the very birth of a product to its meeting with customers in stores, all processes—product design, graphics, visual arrangements, and store design—are carried out in-house under one roof, with the aim of creating a unified design language.
With the motto of “creating dreams”, the design team delivers original creations that capture the imagination of children and young people while addressing their needs. These designs are ergonomic, innovative, fun, high-quality, safe, environmentally conscious, and bring new emotions and experiences into their lives.
2018
Purchased the brand and model rights of CS Schmal Möbel 1896 Germany.
2019
Established our CS Schmal Office in Bad Salzuflen.
2021
Became the brand that delivers the best customer experience in the furniture category.
2021
In Turkey's Most Admired Companies Survey, we were recognized as Turkey's Most Admired Company in the Furniture Category.
